Anxiety
"We can’t fear the past. Fear is a future thing. And since the future’s all in our heads, fear must be a head thing." - Tom Payne
Fear of Flying
So many places to visit, the anticipation of arriving at a new airport, the excitement of meeting family and friends or staying in luxury on that long awaited holiday. This can be ruined by an inherent fear of the journey. Cognitive Behaviour Hypnotherapy can help you to overcome why you continually think of an aeroplane as your enemy. The airport and aeroplane is part of your travelling experience and instead of fear you can make it part of the pleasurable, magical experience of travelling.
Hot Flushes
Women find that the menopause can be debilitating, insomnia, hot flushes, night sweats, weight gain, change in libido, irritability and sometimes depression. Symptoms are caused through hormone levels fluctuating and ovarian functions declining. Factors such as diet, exercise, smoking, alcohol intake and stress levels can impact symptoms. Taking control through cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy allows you to train in mental imagery and relaxation, overcoming anxiety and controlling negative symptoms. The British Medical Journal concluded there was solid evidence that cognitive behaviour hypnotherapy was beneficial. (

Stop Smoking
We want to leave it behind, we know the detrimental affects, the smell, the hacking cough, the cost to our pocket, the lonely figure smoking outside, our dislike of ourselves for allowing the habit to rule our lives. Research has shown that on average smokers are over five times more likely to break the habit with hypnosis than by willpower alone. Hypnotherapy in general is also proven to be more than twice as effective as nicotine gum. Not easy but once conquered you feel as if you can rule the world! I will help you prepare and we will spend 2.5 hours in a one to one session, I will also offer a free follow up session and reassuring telephone calls.
Insomnia
Complex reasons can cause this common symptom, simple changes can help alleviate it. Clinical Hypnotherapy has become a well established mode of treatment, and literature on it’s efficacy for sleep disorders is growing. It is particularly effective for night terrors and pharmacologic interventions. It is more powerful when combined with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) dysfunctional beliefs and behaviours are identified and replaced with positive affirmations alongside hypnotic relaxation therapy.
